Thane: A 20-year-old man allegedly stabbed to death in the city of Bhiwandi from the Thane Maharashtra district, and a case has been registered with five people, one of them a woman in connection with the attack, said the police on Tuesday.
A violation has been registered against an attack that escaped under the part of the 302 (murder) of IPC and Manhunt was launched to arrest them, an official said.
The victim Ajgar Mohammad Manzoor Shaikh stood near his house and chatted with his friends on Monday night when he commented on one of the defendants who passed, he said.
Angered by comments, one of the accused, who brought a knife, stabbed the victim several times, while the others threatened that they would not avoid it, the official said, quoted the complaint filing a victim friend, who was present at the sights.
The police, who were told about the incident, rushed to the place, followed the victim’s body sent to the government hospital for post-mortem, he added.
