Jammu: Two men were arrested with Rs 25.8 lakh Hawala Money near the control line (LOC) in the Poonch J & K district by a joint team of Tuesday morning security forces.
“The police and soldiers raided different locations in Kanga Bhrooti Village in the Mendhar Poonch area near the Loc.
During the search operation, the joint team seized Rs 25,81,500 which was intended for terror financing and arrested two people,” said a police source.
The arrested duo was identified as Mohammad Shakeel and Mohammad Alya, both residents of Kanga Bhrooti.
Confirming the arrest, ADGP (JAMMU ZONE) Mukesh Singh said a FIR was registered in Mendhar in this relationship.
