Patna: Armed criminals borne by unknown bicycles were shot dead by a gold trader after laughter in his shop located in the heart of the Bihta market that was busy in West Patna at around 8:30 a.m.
on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Mantu Kumar Gupta, 40.
He has Jewelry Maa Vindhyasini in the market area.
Police Station Biht Sho Atulesh Kumar said the Gupta was shot in his head and his chest.
Criminals fired three to four rounds in the store.
He said some empty cartridges also recovered from the store.
Sho said the criminals were also searched for stores and it was unclear whether the murder was a fall from the demand for extortion or beaker.
However, traders in the market strongly believe that the murder was the fall of extortion requests, which may be rejected by mantu to pay.
“This is a case of squeezer from extortion.
The incident occurred at the heart of Bihta bathing.
There are at least 30 jewelry stores there.

The criminals also attacked his staff driver, Neeraj Kumar, during the incident.
Neeraj, who survived narrowly during the shooting, told Mediodperson that criminals had broken into the store and fired three to four rounds.
Neeraj said he saw criminals fled on three different bikes to Machhli Gali.
On August 6, unknown criminals had shot a pharmacy, Sonu Kumar, at NH-30 near Anandpur under the Bihta Police Station area.
Sonu has a wholesale drug store in Maner.
He is targeted when returning home.
Criminals have not looted anything from Sonu.
This incident was also thought to be associated with extortion.
In the past, several cases of shots and murders had occurred at Biht for extortion.
