Ludhiana: Basis Jalandhar Zonal Office The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday raids in 14 places in Punjab located in Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Hoshiarpur and Mohali.
According to information available from sources, all places raided by Ed Sleuth are a residential team and different consisting of around 50 officers and unit staff ed from various states.
Although ED remained tight lying about the action of the day, the sources revealed that the raids in connection with the case registered by Ed Jalandhar in March 2021 in the wrong mutation fraud that occurred in 2016-17.
The multicrore fraud was allegedly carried out by the Naib Tehsildar Singh Dhoot and the other in a village in the Mohali district where government land cheatedly was transferred to people other than legitimate beneficiaries.
Ed has found some burdensome evidence on this raid, which still happens when submitting this report.
Before Ed registered a case under the prevention of money laundering Law (PMLA), the Punjab vigilance (VB) bureau in 2020 has blew this fraud cover, where the mutation of around 100 acres of land was done wrong.
Cases under various parts of the IPC and the prevention of 1988 corruption laws registered against several people, including Naib Tehsildar, Canungo, Patwaris, property dealers and other individuals.
Some arrests are also made by VB in this case.
