Telangana reported 482 Covid cases, 2 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 482 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Wednesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,137.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.50,835 and the death toll was 3,833.
The number of active detention zones in the country established at 25.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 455 patients were declared recovered on Wednesday, taking a total count of patients recovered to 6.38,865.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.16 percent now.
So far 79.9 percent of the overall cases in the state have asymptomatic while 20.1 percent have symptomatic.
On Wednesday, 88,164 samples were tested for the novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample of 2.30 crore samples and has reached 6.20 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 82 cases on Wednesday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded 23 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 25 and Sanga Reddy recorded 6 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 61 new cases recorded on Sunday while Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam saw more cases.
