Chennai: Tamil Nadu reported 1,964 new cases on Wednesday when Chennai won the district slot with the highest number of cases for the first time since May 25.
The city reported 243 new cases, 34 cases entered on Tuesday.
His neighbor – Chengalpet reported 140 cases compared to 105 cases on Tuesday and Tiruvallur reported a rise from 79 to 98 new cases.

The increase in cases in Chennai comes from a cluster identified by Greater Chennai Corporation for the past three or four days.
