Ahmedabad: Doctors in universities managed by the government in the state have decided to partially call their strike after getting a positive response from the authorities.
They have decided to continue Covid-19 and emergency services from Wednesday.
The population of six colleges managed by the government including the BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad has broken around a week now to suppress their delayed demands.
But these doctors will continue their strikes for other departments until they get a written guarantee of the State Health Department, according to media statements by the Junior Doctor Association (all Gujarat).
A meeting was held on Wednesday night between representatives of doctors and government officials.
While the exact results of the meeting were not immediately known, the sources in knowing the problem said positive results were expected.
The Junior Doctor Association has formed a committee to register their problems and represent them with the relevant authority.
“Some meetings were carried out at various levels to improve our problems.
Committee members were called for a meeting on Tuesday night where bilateral discussions were held with Dr.
Nitin Vora, the President of the Medical Board Gujarat (also Dean Gmers Sola), Dr.
JV Modi Medical Inspector, a Civil Hospital , Dr.
Pranay Shah, Dean of BJ Medical Universities.
The government has approached and showed a US positive response to our legitimate demands, “said the official communique by the Junior Doctor Association.
Chapter Gujarat from the Indian Medical Association has also extended support for demands raised by resident doctors and urges the state government to check and find a friendly solution.
“The Committee has convinced to install our points before the Minister of Health on Wednesday.
Therefore, in good faith will be patients and trust in our medical supervisory committee, we have decided to continue our Covid and Emergency services (Trauma Center) with the effect of Wednesday .
Strike to continue until a satisfying written order from the Ministry of Health, “according to the statement.
One of the main demands of residents is that their mandatory bond services are considered in the ratio of 1: 2, which is one day of service calculated equivalent to two days of service.
