Jaipur: Security arrangements have been upgraded at the airport and train station ahead of independence day.
While at Jaipur Airport, an additional 40% personnel have been deployed by the CISF, working hours have been upgraded at the main train station by Force Protection Railway (RPF).
“In the normal days we have around 125 CISF personnel on duty at the airport which has increased by 40%.
Apart from this, intensive examination is being carried out at the entry point as well and before the passenger reaches the airline counter, their luggage is also examined thoroughly”, said YP Singh, Commander, CISF.
The dog team also at the airport all the time and intensive security settings at the airport will be in place until August 20.
Similar to the airport, the RPF has added security at the train station.
Jyoti Mani, Division Security Commissioner, RPF said, “While we have not added more security personnel, at our sensitive station has increased working hours from 8 to 12.
The fast reaction team (QRTS) has been deployed at large stations such as Jaipur, Gandhinagar and others .
Often there are patrols and where needed, we coordinate with train police.
The dog team also checks off the baggage randomly.
“The train station will have high security settings until August 16 and officials claim the parking area is also being checked and the item package to ensure that there is no security hose.
BSF launched an operating warning: ahead of independence day, BSF launched an operational warning on the Western border, including Rajasthan, on Wednesday.
This exercise will continue until August 17.
During this exercise, border management will be made better and the gap will be deleted.
