Agra: Special protection of children from the Sexual Court (Pocso) on Thursday sentenced a man to serve a life sentence to death because he raped his steps and rejected his request to give a minimum sentence because this was his first crime.
Special Judge (Pocso Court II) Amar Singh also imposed a fine of RS 2 lakh to him and the number would be paid to the victim as compensation.
“The state government must pay the amount, if the inmate cannot pay it,” his order rang.
Additional District Government Board (ADGC) Subhash Chaturvedi said that crime under the IPC part 376 (rape) was considered “honesty” in two situations – when the defendant was a relative of the victim and the age of the victim was less than 16 years.

The man raped his own steps when he was a child, he added.
