Nagpur: After confirming the Delta Plus variant in several samples from Vidarbha sent for genetic sequencing recently, there are panic that are seen among people.
But the doctor and ICMR authority have confirmed that there is no point in panic.
“Delta plus is not dangerous like a Delta variant.
It is less transmitting and only carrying minor diseases.
The four Delta Plus patients, detected in Vidarbha, have recovered,” the authorities confirmed on Thursday.
Each sample from Akola and Chandrapur and two of the positive tested Gondia for the variant.
In the Gondia, the two patients were women in the age group of 18-45 years.
They were accepted in mid-June when their samples were collected and sent for testing.
Women from Sankya and Sadak Arjuni Tehsils and recovered at least a month ago in house isolation.

Of the 4,000 samples tested from all districts in Maharashtra, 65 were tested positive for Delta Plus variants.

“Sufficient evidence is available to prove that Delta Plus is no more dangerous than Delta,” said the infectious disease specialist Dr.
Nitin Shinde.
