Hyderabad: Continuing the crackdown over the charm of snake, the animal welfare organization in the city has saved 11 snakes on the occasion of Panchmi on Friday.
While nine snakes were saved from various places throughout Hyderabad such as Shalibanda, Hussai Alam, Durang, Gowlebura, Aliabad, Falaknuma, two saved from Nagarjuna Sagar.
“All snakes that are saved are Cobras who are amazed and almost all have injuries in the oral or defanged area.
We will treat the injury and give it to the Ministry of Forestry to get the command release.
All snakes will be released back to the wild after they recover from injury,” said Soudharm Bhandari from the Greater Hyderabad Society for the prevention of cruelty of animals (GHSPCA).
