Kolkata: A group of 11 Medicos Kolkata has acted almost in Teledrama to create awareness about the contribution of organs at night of the 75th Independence Day, so that more people step forward to contribute organs.
Shuvro Bhattacharya, a medical student fourth year, Kolkata is the main director and man behind this teledrama, who edited it before uploading it on social media.
Bhattacharya and other Medicos use Tagore songs and poems to make this teledrama show how diseases can cause big problems and to save organs from other people can save lives.
The story of the “Omar Rabi” video – Immoror Rabi -Evolved around how darkness can go down in our eyes and only eye donations that can help.
Even for liver problems, liver transplants can be a necessity, and where Medicos tries to create awareness about organ donations.
They want all tabs to be removed.
Shuvro said that since his first year in medical colleges, he tried to raise awareness about organ donations.
He said that death could not be avoided but to live an eternal life someone needs to donate the body or organs such as eyes, liver, kidneys and lungs so that they can be reused or recycled rather than burnt or buried.
He said that all casts made filming themselves through virtual mode and then he edited it into a collage.
“Through Amar Rabi, we tried to create awareness,” said Sayanti Choudhury, a third year student from R K Kar Medical College.
“We run the channel – Medi’scene to create health-related awareness and we try to reach as many people as possible,” Sayanti said.
Other crew members from Medi’Scene are Dasjan Das, Disha Maity, Aishan Majumdar, Aishi Roy, Tiyasha Dey, Tairthik Ghosh, Ayan Majumdar, Sankhadeep Mitra, Bipasa Pal, Ishika Ghos, Aindra Dhar, and Angana Chattopadhyay who have become part of the group Medicene and have created a number of videos about health awareness hoping that their videos on organ donations will encourage the masses to advance.
