Coimbatore: Chairman of the Minister M K Stalin on Sunday respects R Jaganathan, a sanitation worker from Kallapalayam Pancayat Village in Coimbatore Regency, because of his commendable work during a pandemic.
Jaganathan received a special award certificate and medal from the minister of chairman during the 75th Independence Day celebration in Chennai.
The 36-year-old sanitation worker, resident Ambedkar Street in Kallapalayam, has worked in Kallapalayam Pancayat Village for the past 10 years for a monthly consolidated salary of Rs 4,100.
Pancrayat Village includes two villages – Kallapalayam and Chinnakuyili.
“The village of our Panchayat has many industrial sectors.
More than 1,500 people were affected because Covid-19 in our village Panchayat.
Jaganathan visited the residence of the people affected by Covid-19 and questioned them to prevent the spread of the virus.
He provides food and goods – Wholesale goods to the villagers who quarantine at home.
He worked hard for the past one and a half years from the minister’s chairman.
“It was the first appreciation of the government for my work.
I will do the best for people from my village Panchayat,” Jaganathan said.
