New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday fired the Maharashtra government’s request that tried to set aside two paragraphs related to the transfer and post of police officers, the recovery of officers from the CBI quarter against the former Minister of State House Deshmukh.
Judge D Y Chandrachud and M R Shah said that it tended to disturb the 22 July Order in the Bombay High Court and rejected the petition.
The top yesterday said that it could not disburse the direction of the Constitutional Court which ordered the Probe of the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) by drawing lines for institutions that had been carried out by investigations.
“The CBI must investigate all aspects of the allegations and we cannot limit them.
It will like boarding the strength of the Constitutional Court,” Bench said.
It was said that the impression was being made that the state tried to protect the former minister at home by not allowing the probe about the transfer and post aspects of police officers and recovering additional police inspectors additional Sachin Waze.
Advocates Rahul Chitnis, emerged for the Maharashtra government, said the state had resigned approval for the CBI probe and the direction of the High Court for limited investigations on charges of collecting money from the bar and restaurant and not transferring, posting police officers and recovery again in police forces.
On July 22, the High Court said the CBI could ask for the displacement and posting police personnel and tangled recovery in Mumbai Police forces “so far have the Nexus with the former Minister of Maharashtra and his colleagues”.
