Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government will take the ‘final’ decision to reopen the school for a ninth grade to 12 on August 20.
Minister of Education Minister of State, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has held a meeting with major education officers and other officials regarding the reopening of the school.
The ministerial office in a statement said that the final decision on the reopening of a higher class will be taken by the minister’s chairman, M.K.
Stalin, and on Friday the government will announce whether the class will open from September 1 or not.

The minister’s chairman also asked the Minister of Health to take feedback from all district collectors and district medical officers before the final decision was announced.
“The State Health Department has its own view of the reopening of the school and we provide the right data on the pandemic.
Based on our input, as well as feedback from district collectors and district health workers, the main minister will make decisions on the reopening of schools for higher class students , “said Subramanian State Minister of Health to IANS.
The resources of the Ministry of Health told Ian that the department has provided all inputs regarding pandemic, including the possibility of deployment, if schools reopen and other micro-level details regarding disease and deployment.
In the midst of installation pressure from several angles, schools in the state are expected to be reopened from September 1.
