Mumbai: After reporting Covid-19 cases under 200 for two consecutive days, the maximum city has seen a new surge in case.
On Wednesday, 283 people tested the positive virus, taking the total number of cases to 7,40,007.
The city also reported five deaths.
Among them, one person has a co-morbidity, while the other four are above the age of 60 years.
The total death count is 15,930.
BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) told that because of reconciliation with the country, 69 of Mumbai’s death was excluded from the number of progressive deaths.
During the day, 297 people were also dismissed.
Until now, 7.18,955 people have recovered.
The city was left with 2,686 active Covid-19 cases.
The city recovery rate is 97 percent, while the doubling level is 2,057 days.
Although there are no active detention zones (slum and chawl), 24 buildings remain sealed.
Meanwhile, there will be no vaccination in public centers on Thursday and Friday due to lack of doses.
