New Delhi: Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the center of more than 20 Lakh tests and 7.25 lakh Covid-19 related treatments are worth more than the RS 2,800 Crore authorized from April 2020 to July 2021, officials said.
Since the launch of the Health Insurance Scheme in September, 23, 2018, more than 2 crores, hospital admissions are estimated to be worth more than RS 25,000 Crore have been authorized throughout the country under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya YOJNA (AB-PMJAY) to 17 August, around 16.50 Crore receivers have been verified and equipped with Ayushman cards.

The insurance scheme allows recipients to utilize free testing and maintenance throughout Empaneled – Public and private – hospital, “said an official.
Also, women accounted for 45 percent of the total official hospital admission, said source.
General treatment, midwifery and gynecology, general operation, medical oncology and opthamology are among the top specialties and procedures available by female beneficiaries based on the scheme.
Also 50 percent of around 11 individuals are verified under the system IT Jay PM-Jay are women.
