The government to build a house for 1,016 Sri Lanka refugees

Coimbatore: The state government plans to build an apartment for 1,016 Tamil Sri Lanka refugees who live in four camps in the district.
“Old asbestos roof for decades is broken.
Family uses a public bathroom.
Because the number of families increases from day to day, the state government has decided to build 300SQF apartments for them,” said an official.

Refugees submitted petitions demanding water, drainage, roads, street lights, toilets, old pensions and retirement widows to the team.
The family of three members gets Rs 1,000 retirement per month.
Every family member gets 12 kg of rice and children under 12 years get 6kg rice.
All members have aadhaar, SIM cards and get the benefits of the government.
Most refugees meet the needs by working as wall painters.
