MySuru: The University of Mysore (UOM) has become the first government university in the country to get the All India Technical Education Board (AICTE) permission for launch technical courses.
The Aicte approved a proposal sent by the UOM to launch five programs.
In the first year, the university will launch five engineering programs emerged.
“The AICTE allowed universities to launch be in Civil Engineering Environment, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Design and Biomedical and Robotic Engineering,” explained Uom VC G Hemantha Kumar.
Total intake will be 300 seats.
The University will give up 150 seats for Kea to fill under the quota of merit.
The rest of the seat will be filled through Swadana.

“We received Aicte’s approval on July 27,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to the government’s order, which UOM decided to develop the first three governments of class universities as constituent universities from universities.
“Hettur, Tandi, and Halli Mysuru College will be developed as a constituent college,” he explained.
Hemantha Kumar explained that the Naac team is likely to visit the University after the second week of September.
“The University Radio Station Manasa University is also ready for the inauguration now,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the minister of higher state education CN Ashwath Narayan will inaugurate several new buildings including a career hub built under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (deer), a Bachelor’s research hostel built with estimated costs of Rs.2 Crores, the second floor of the advantage, new building Hassan Central Academic Parts Post-Bachelor, Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies, New Building Yuvaraja Campus Built under deer, etc.
