Hyderabad: They serve in a hostile atmosphere placing their lives at risk.
But it has been forced to return from Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover, hundreds of workers from Telangana looked at the gloomy future.
Many of them from India and other countries help NATO forces in camps.
Initially, the return trip had begun in an orderly manner before being destroyed as the chaos of the Taliban advanced to Kabul.
In June, at least 30 people from Velpur Village in Nizamabad, who served in NATO and US military camps were sent back because the US had started withdrawal.
While these people reach home easily, life in front of them and other people now waiting for the ticket tend to be like anything.
But long before these people, some have ended their Afghan adventures and returned home.
It was risky in a torn afghanistan, but they soon found it not cakewalk at home.
Ramesh Gandhepally from Jankampet Village in Velpur, who has returned home in 2018, has put all the money 30 Borewells.
All failed.
Even though he can earn a living from the land now, it’s not enough, he said.
Given the seven years he spent in the biggest camp in Bagram Airbase, Ramesh said: “We don’t know anything about life outside the camp.
If we have to go to another camp, we are transported by helicopter.” Similar is the fate of P Srinivas from the village The same thing called it stopped at 2020 after eight years at the Bagram base.
The 45-year-old child, a trade graduate, wanted the government to help people like it.
“We must be assisted by work, loans or means to get a decent livelihood,” Srinivas said.
“We live in a constant fear of the Taliban attack.
Far from the family and cuts from the outside world in the camp really make me frustrated.
So I’m back.
But I don’t think I have a future here without help,” Srinivas said.
