Bhubaneswar: Odisha became the 12th country in the country to cross the vaccination milestone of more than two doses of Covid-19 vaccine crore on Wednesday.
According to the update in the co-Win portal, the state has vaccinated more than 2.01 crore doses, including the first dose of up to 1.54 crores and the second dose to 46.64 lakh people.
Most Populous Uttar Pradesh has activated the highest dose of 6.11 crore followed by Maharashtra (5.11 crore), Gujarat (4.15 Crore), Madhya Pradesh (3.89 Crore), Rajasthan (3.84 Crore), Karnataka (3 , 57 Crore), West Bengal (3.51 Crore), Bihar (3.11 Crore), Tamil Nadu (2.75 Crore), Andhra Pradesh (2.57 Crore) and Kerala (2.51 Crore).
With this, Odisha has reached a third of the target coverage of overall vaccination, given that the state’s eyes to autoculate 6.4 doses of crores, two doses of up to 3.2 crore people each above 18 years.
Similarly, it has reached nearly 50% of the first dose vaccination target to 3.2 crore people and 14.5% of the second vaccination of doses, more than seven months after vaccination drive was launched on January 16.
The vaccine given includes 1.74 crore doses of covishield and 26.85 lakh covaxin.
While Khurda has visited the highest dose of 25.38 lakh, Deogarh has provided the lowest 1.45 lakh.
Of the total number of doses, a 1.05 crore shot used for men and 95.36 lakh for women.
The Secretary of the Additional Chief (Health) Pradipta Kumar Mohaparna said the vaccination rate was stable around 2 lakh to 2.5 lakh dose every day by considering supply by the center.
“We hope supply will improve next month.
We can intensify daily doses depending on it,” he said.
This country was given around 43 doses of lakh by the center of August, including 33.72 doses of lakh for free supply and 9.76 lakh to a private hospital.
The other 993 was tested positive for viruses on Wednesday, including 138 under 18 years.
The government confirmed 65 deaths again, raising the victim of the virus to 7,086.
Of the 9,536 active positive cases, 1,654 Covid patients were hospitalized (17.34%).
These include 666 on the ICU of 144 in ventilator support.
