Thane: In the robbery on the local train, the physically challenged commuter from Digha is targeted by a cellular thief who then jumps with a booty when the train is between Thane and Kalwa stations around 8pm on Tuesday.
According to the train police, complainants, F Sahu (43), traveling with compartments for those who are physically challenged.
The police said the unknown thieves also traveled to the same coach and had focused on the target.
“The train left Thane and slowed near the river when approaching Kalwa when the defendant grabbed the phone from my shirt pocket.
Before I could fight, he jumped when the train moved,” said Sahu in his complaint to the train police.
The case has been registered.
