Ranchi: An Angarha tribe has submitted a Habeas Corpus petition before the Jharkhand High Court to see his family members who claimed to have been forcibly picked up by the police on August 15 and he could not contact them.
Those who were allegedly taken away were fathers, sisters, wives and two small children.
It should be noted that the man’s sister has submitted a rape case against Sunil Tiwari, political advisor to the former Chief Justice of Jharkhand Babulal Marandi.
While the man did not say the reason behind the ‘forced detention’ but his brother, who lived in Chennai, has submitted Cemara Online on August 16 allegating that the police forced his family members to register false complaints against Tiwari.
Tiwari has not been captured in this case but this problem has a snowball into the main political controversy.
Marandi, at a press conference, has claimed that Tiwari was framed by the Hemant Soren government.
BJP’s senior leaders, however, maintained the silence studied in this matter.
When contacted, the state police refused to comment and there was no reaction to come from the government too.
