Pune: Wanowrie police on Sunday night arrested eight out of 13 people suspected of raping a gang of a 14-year-old girl in various locations in and around the Pune train station between August 31 and September 1.
Six men who were arrested were the autorickshaw driver, while the other two were class IV train employees.
“On Monday night, three people were detained because they were questioned in connection with the crime,” said Senior Inspector Deepak Lagad to Ti.
The police said the girl left home around 10:30 on August 31 to meet a friend at the train station.
But his friend did not appear.
“The traumatic girl hasn’t revealed how she reaches the train station,” Lagad said.
“A driver of the Autorickshaw saw him cried and offered to take him back home.
However, he took him to the lodge and raped him.
Then, he called his friends, who took turns raping the girl in various places before they left on the ship Pune-Jammu Tawi Jhelum Express Around 17:30 on September 2, “Lagad said.
“On September 1, the girl’s parents approached the police to report their lost daughter.
We are investigating this problem and researching CCTV recording inside and around the train station.

“The police sent a wireless message to all train police stations along the train route.
The Chandigar police train found the girl on September 4 and reminded Pune Police.
A police team reached Chandigarh by air on September 5 to bring the girl back to Pune.

On Monday, the police produced eight men who were arrested in front of a special court, which ordered their custodian detention until September 16.
