Ahmedabad: Various hospitals in the city have recorded a total of 2,554 cases of dengue fever between the period January and 6 November this year, alarming 491% of 432 cases registered throughout the city.
The hospital registered 1,315 cases of Chikungunya in the same period, up 42% from 923 cases recorded last year.
Data from the Ministry of Health Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation showed a malaria case in the city in the January 6 period reaching 891, up 44% from 618 last year.
The city hospital in the same period recorded 92 Falciparum cases, up 46% from 63 registered cases last year.
The case of water disease has also registered an increase in this period, shows AMC numbers.
A total of 1,832 tifoid cases were registered in January to November 6 against 1,338 cases throughout 2020.
The hospital registered 3,307 cases of diarrhea in the January-November period this year against 2,072 cases in 2020.
Total 64 cases of cholera were registered so far.
There were no cases of cholera registered last year.
