New Delhi: Drizzle is recorded in several parts of the capital on Sunday.
According to the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), rainfall activities are expected to increase in the last two days of a month.
While light shower is estimated on Monday, moderate rainfall can occur in several places on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Officials said rainfall was expected to continue until Friday, but Delhi could not accept the ‘heavy’ rainfall spells during this period.
Safdarjung, Delhi base station, has received 214.5mm rainfall so far until 8.30 in the morning on Sunday, with a normal sign at 241.9mm.
However, the station does not record rainfall during the day.
This means the station is currently a 11% deficit, officials said.
“The rainy season is still south of Delhi-NCR, but some light rainfall activities will still occur in the region.
Unless the rain is worth noting on Tuesday, Safdarjung can end the month in a little deficit,” said an official.
While there was no rainfall recorded in Safdarjung, Lodhi Road recorded rainfall ‘traces’ between 8:30 a.m.
on Saturday and 8.30 in the morning on Sunday, Ridge recorded 22.2mm and Najafgarh received 0.5mm during this period.
Between 8:30 a.m.
and 17:30 on Sunday, only the Palam received the rain, recording the rainfall ‘trail’.
Delhi air quality remains in the ‘moderate’ category.
This shows an increase on Sunday, down from 147 (moderate) on Saturday to 119.
Safar, government air quality forecasting, saying AQI is likely to remain in the ‘moderate’ category in the next two days too, with PM 10 remaining lead pollutants .
External dust from the western part of Delhi and local resuspended dust in the NCR cannot be spread due to low wind speeds.
