Thiruvananthapuram: A big fire broke out at a memo shop in Karamana in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.
According to locals, there are shops and houses near the memo shop where the fire has been seen.
The firefighters in the Spotfrequent bottle explosion were also reported from the place.
Personnel of the fire forces and locals fought against thick black smoke that affected rescue operations.
Environmental members said one of the houses had been burned and many residents were evacuated.
