New Delhi: Delhi-Varanasi High Speed Rail (HSR) or a bullet train project, including 123km which connects Lucknow with Ayodhya, according to detailed project reports (DPR).
And if everything goes according to the government’s plan, there will be a bullet train that runs at a top speed of 300 kmpj every hour from Delhi to Agra and Agra to Delhi in 2029-30.
All corridors will be a mixture of stretching and tunnels who consider corridor safety requirements.
It will have 12 stations and will connect all major religious places including Mathura, Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Varanasi.
There will be an underground station at the Jewar airport too.
The total project costs are estimated at RS 2.28 lakh Crore and getting finance will be very important for the implementation of the Mammoth project.
According to the DPR, it was prepared by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHRSCL), which implemented the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project, the bullet train will make 63 trips in a day between Delhi and Agra; 43 trips per day between Delhi and Lucknow; 18 trips every day between Delhi and Varanasi.
In the case of ayodhya, the House estimates 11 trips per day.
At present, it takes around 11-12 hours to achieve Varanasi from Delhi by train.
The proposed bullet train will reduce this travel time for almost three hours.
High train connectivity with Varanasi, East Heart Uttar Pradesh, it is very important considering that the current regime focuses on changing Purvanchal profiles by creating world-class infrastructure.
This step is also increasingly important because the government makes efforts to put Ayodhya on world tourism maps and high-speed connectivity will be a catalyst to bring tourists to the holy city.
Toi on January 16 has reported that one-way fare to Ayodhya from Delhi with the proposed high-speed train (bullet) is cheaper than traveling by air.
