A dozen drones were pressed into the service in front of I-Day in Kashmir

Srinagar: Ahead of the I-Day celebration, the police on Thursday launched a dozen drones that floated above Srinagar City for supervision to prevent unwanted incidents.
SDPO Ghulam Mohiuddin and Kothibagh Police Station Sho Muhammad Ishaq took stock situations in Lal Chowk, Budshah Chowk, road residency and nearby area.
The police continued to look for suspicious people, who might try to create legal and order problems in front of the celebration, said Mohiuddin, added that the search was being made in residential areas, rented houses and hotels.
A police officer said that security had been enhanced in Srinagar after a recent grenade attack in Amira Lizard and the next arrest of a man with two Live grenades.
Some check points have been made to oversee suspicious people, he said, adding that all security agents have been intended at high standby.
