Jaipur: Foreign Language Course in Rajasthan University has received a good response based on demand for student form.
Varsity provides certificate courses in French, German and Spanish.
Varsitas so far received more than 100 forms of students who want to pursue a one-year diploma in foreign languages along with graduation.
There are 70 seats for each language.
The University Administration said that with the increasing globalization, the scope of these languages has increased and students have realized that language learning will increase their work opportunities.
Head of the European Language Department, Literature and Cultural Studies, Assistant Professor Nidhi Rai Singhania said, “Previously, these courses were not too popular, but with more exposure, students have realized their value.
With a nominal cost, students can get a certificate in language foreigners who help them get jobs at the embassy, tourism department and in educational institutions.
“Recently, CBSE has introduced a foreign language of an optional subject to grade 10.
In addition, many language teaching institutions, colleges and embassy employed educated youths .
“We even have a student exchange program where students learn for one semester in France.
Last year, we sent three students to France.
Foreign languages are the upcoming field in this country,” Rai said.
The response is completely opposite Urdu, Persian and Sanskrit.
The only Sanskrit university state only accepts 10% form compared to the number of seats they have.
In the Urdu and Persian certificate course, only one form has been received.
