Nagpur: It is a coup in Akola-Buldhana-Washim constituency by BJP in grabbing the chair of the MLC local authority constituency from his former friend to Foe Shiv Sena, which has occupied it for more than 18 years.
Even though it was not near the majority mark of around 412, the Safron party achieved an unthinkable thing about turning into Sena, which was supported by Majestic Mitra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) – NCP and Congress.
BJP Vasant Khandelwal destroyed the MLC three times and the Gopikisan Bajoria Sena and a favorite with a 109 vote with a large margin when the results were announced on Tuesday.
The former polling 443 votes opposed the last 334, while 21 votes were declared invalid.

Bajoria’s defeat after 18 years has jerked MVA leaders and activists.
The victory margin clearly shows that BJP does not only succeed in voting from Prakash Ambedkar clothing but also from independent, making a large dent in the sound of MVA.
Before the poll, the collective strength of three MVA partners was more than 400 and they were only six behind the majority mark.
On the other hand, BJP at 246 was behind a half sign.
It will easily sail for Bajoria against Khandelwal, which is the first timer at The Hustings.
Both candidates were business partners for 18-20 years before splitting two years ago.
Of the 822 voters, 808 carried out their rights to choose on December 10.
Even with collective strength of 246 BJP, 86 VBA and 77 independent voters are taken into account, the total comes to 409, only three of the half signs.
This means that 34 voters choose cross from MVA to BJP.
“This is not my victory alone, but a sincere effort by leaders and party workers.
I will continue to struggle for the overall development of constituencies and thank you all to support me,” Khandelwal said.
The disappointed Bajoria told Ti that Cross voting had indeed happened to his fall.
“There’s no point in talking about defeat.
We accept the selector’s mandate.
We will conduct a complete analysis and submit a report to the Chairperson of Minister of UDDHAV Thackeray.
I will continue to work for a party like I did for years.
