Mumbai: Great representation for Maharashtra in Wednesday’s cabinet reshuffle and Induction of Narayan Rane in particular show that BJP might be preparing to go alone in Mumbai and Maharashtra in 2024 without seeking initial recovery with speculation about patch-ups has been rife lately.
Importantly, the former CM Devendra Fadnavis, who has become a thorn on the side of the government of MVA as an opposition leader, has emerged stronger because all the newly appointed cabinet members of the country are seen as trusted helpers.
Since talks about the cabinet reshuffle began a month ago, there was speculation that Fadnivis could be appointed into the United cabinet to calm his rival, CM Uddhav Thackeray, with whom BJP was believed to be getting closer.
In the power corridor, there was rumors that if Fadnavis shifted to New Delhi, Thackeray would continue like CM with two CMS representatives from BJP after removing Congress and NCP, but not yet happened.
While two ministers from Maharashtra, Prakash Javadekar and Sanjay Dhotre, have fallen, Rane, Patil Kapil, Bhagwat Karad and Bharati Pawar have been brought in.
The important rane belongs to the Maratha community.
At present, the problem of reservations for Maratha and OBC and the injustice of the dominant tribes in Maharashtra’s politics.
BJP hopes that with Induction Rane, which is aggressively taking the cause of the maratha reservation, the party’s image will be increased in the community.
During the Fadnivis administration as cm, the state government had passed the law to provide a reservation to Maratha, but it did not accommodate the supervision of the court.
