New Delhi: The condition of cold waves subsided slightly in Delhi on Wednesday with a slowdown in northern ice under the influence of Western disturbances affecting northwestern India.
The minimum temperature in the Safdarjung Observatory, is considered an official marker for the city, settled at 4.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.
The maximum temperature is completed at 23.8 degrees Celsius, two levels more than the average temperature.
The observatory reported cold waves on Monday and Tuesday recorded a minimum temperature of 3.2 degrees Celsius and 4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Weather station in Palam, Lodhi Road, Ridge and Ayanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius, 4.2 degrees Celsius, each 6.7 degrees Celsius.
On the plain, the IMD states cold waves if the minimum temperature of the dip is 4 degrees Celsius.
Cold waves are also expressed when the minimum temperature is 10 degrees Celsius or below and 4.5 notches below normal.
An official at the Indian Meteorology Department said the temperature would increase to eight degrees Celsius on weekends under the influence of two western western disorders in northwestern India.
Rain is light likely on Saturday.
