A little increase in AQI NCR as a farm fire remained low

Ghaziabad / Noida: The overall air quality of the region increases rapidly with the Central Polution Control Agency (CPCB) records the air quality index in the middle range of the ‘very poor’ category on Saturday.
In Ghaziabad, Aqi dropped 33 notches from 377 on Friday to 344 points.
In Greater Noida, Aqi slipped 60 points to settle at 322 on Saturday from 382 days back.
Noida, also relieved, recording AQI 356 on Saturday, down from 376 a day back.
According to air quality systems and weather forecasting and research (Safar), AQI is likely to increase marginally on Sunday but will continue to remain in the ‘very poor’ category.
A decrease in agricultural fire and wind fire instances that blow from the north and northwest are behind the increase in AQI as a whole, experts said.
Low local surface winds, he added, with medium ventilation from close surface pollutants also helps clear pollutants.
Surface level wind speeds tend to be strong between November 21 and 23, which will be more helpful in the dispersion of effective pollutants trapped in the air.
Wind level of transportation, coming from the northwest, is likely to be strong during the appropriate period and will help water the pollutants emitted locally from the region, experts said.
Meanwhile, Aqi at the Pollution Monitoring Station Vasundhara Ghaziabad was recorded at 333, while Indirapuram recorded 335, and Sanjay Nagar 329 on Saturday.
Knowledge of Greater Noida Station Park-3 recorded AQI 322, while Park-5 knowledge recorded 315, both at the end of the ‘very poor’ category.
Sector Station 62 Noida recorded the worst AQI in the area at 418, which was under the ‘severe’ category.
Sector 116 and sector 1 center recorded AQIS average of 326, while data for sector 125 stations was not available.
