A little increase in the case of covid in k’taka more than 2 weeks in a row

Bengaluru: After experiencing a consistent and significant decline over 11 weeks in a row, the Covid-19 fresh case began to see the increase in carnataka, even though it was only a little.
Sunday-Sunday data for death shows stable numbers, but as witnessed in the past, deaths only increased a few weeks after the increase in cases reported.
And, when the country prepares a wave of other infections that some experts are closely, the weekly pattern changes come as early warning.
However, the third wave is widely estimated to be less severe than the deadly second wave that swept carnataka in April and May.
Data analysis during the last 13 weeks from May 9 to August 7 showed a weekly case had increased by around 2% in each of the last two weeks compared to weeks before.
This was after a consistent decline in the case since the weekend of May 8.
While the first week of August saw 11,8803 cases, the previous week has registered 11,568 cases, increasing from 11,317 cases between July 18 and July 24.
In the same period, the state reported 211, 210 and 231 each with more than 29 lakh cases and nearly 37,000 deaths, Karnataka had the third highest infection and the second highest number of deaths in the country.
Government officials show that one reason for increasing weekly cases can be an abundance of neighboring countries, especially with restrictions on lifted trips.
Dr.
KV Trilok Chandra Health Commissioner, said the government has responded adequately with the situation in the field, as reflected in the steps taken, especially in the border district.
V Ravi, Senior Virology and members of the Covid State Technical Advisory Committee, said: “Nothing was worrying until then when the case began to multiply.
That said, we cannot ignore the increasing case, which is why we suggest restrictions in the border district.
Will be reviewed again at the end of the week based on land situations.
“Chandra added that vaccination has increased in villages and cities within 10 km of the border with Kerala and Maharashtra and that overall inoculation drive in this country has also developed well.
In addition to restrictions, the government, as part of its strategy containing the spread, has also tested aggressively, although some states / UTS such as Kerala and Jammair and Kashmir do more tests per million than Karnataka.
Between August 1 and 8, the state conducted 2,232 tests per million every day on average with more than 11.9 lakh tests carried out during this period.
Although this compares much better than the monthly average test conducted in July, June and May, it must be seen if the country can continue to test many people every day for the rest of August.
