Thiruvananthapuram: Considering that the issue of people to see hospitals throughout the right time of the outbreak, Chirayinkeezhu grama panchayat has established a mobile practice that goes round the wards to get non-Covid patients.
District panchayat vice-president Shailaja Beegum inaugurated the wellbeing programme called’Arikilondu Doctor’ on Thursday.
“The project aims at providing individualized treatment and medications for non-Covid patients throughout 19 wards, such as older and children that find it hard to see hospitals due to their routine check-ups, as the taluk hospital has been turned into Covid hospital.
In the aftermath of Covid-19, several using non-communicable ailments like diabetes and blood pressure find it tough to go to physicians and consequently their drugs were ceased.
The mobile clinic which works with a physician, two nurses and a pharmacist also supplies medications for diabetes, blood pressure, asthma, etc.,.
Additionally, the clinic has got the facility to examine oxygen degree, diabetes, etc..” explained Chirayinkeezhu panchayat president Murali.
“The mobile clinic will soon be moving together with wards along with a program was prepared to guarantee effective support.
According to the program, the practice will stop for a hour at two centers in each ward.

The panchayat employs a school bus mobile clinic.

Approximately 30 patients have been attended to the first evening of the cell clinic.
Dr Fathima H stated,”Many of these were older patients having a prior history of non-communicable ailments.
