Gurugram: Exchange of heated words occurred because it offered ‘Namaz’ in the open in Gurugram on Friday with right-wing activists who asked them to come for prayers to serve ‘Bharat Ki Jai’.
Some videos in clashes, which are said to be taken at UDYOG VIHAR, also shows police arriving at Venue and Holdings talking to both groups.
“Why can’t you say it (Bharat Ki Jai’s eyes)? Do you live in Pakistan?” One person sounded asking those who came for prayer.
Administration and the police have not issued a statement so far.
Meanwhile, Namaz is offered in most places owned by the administration for that purpose due to lack of mosques in the city.
Muslims, however, refrain from entering the 37 Ground sector, where Hindu religious events have been held.
Land in the previous sector 37 was one of the 20 sites designated by administration to pray Friday.
However, several rounds of previous clashes broke in the area over this problem.
