Gorakhpur: A 55-year-old man in Shiv Bakhri Village under the Jurisdiction of the Bakira Police Station in the Sant Kabir Nagar district above, which was picked up by the police on July 24 in connection with the case against his son and continued locked for several days, died at the District Hospital at District Tuesday night.
After his family his suspicion was beaten by the police for three days after he was hospitalized when his condition deteriorated, Sant Kabir Nagar Police Inspector (SP) suspended the officers of Bakhiri Station House.
Administrative senior officials and the police reached the hospital where family members held a sit-in and convinced them to close action to guilty after they received a postmortem report.
On July 21, Ashok Kumar, the son of the victim Bahraichi Prasad, allegedly married to run with a village girl.
The girl’s family filed a police complaint against her but a case was not registered.
However, for the recovery of the girl, the police took Ashok Bahraichi’s father on July 24 and made it in the lock.
The report said the victim’s family accused the police beat him on behalf of the interrogation and on Tuesday night, when his condition turned serious, they took him to the hospital where he died.
After his death, the police escaped from the hospital leaving his body.
