Coimbatore: District record a real surge in the case of Covid-19 daily on Thursday with 188 people testing positive viruses.
This is the highest number of new cases recorded in the day after July 20, when the district recorded 204 cases.
From the possibility it was the beginning of the third wave, the Ministry of Health officials admitted that there was a sudden increase in the case.
They came up with a plan to bring the situation under control.
188 new cases recorded were a 14% surge compared to 164 cases recorded in the previous day.
July 27 is the first time the district records a case increase compared to the previous day, after a range of more than 50 days.
But the increase is in five that can be ignored.
However, on Thursday, it was a striking increase.
“There must be an increase in a case,” said Deputy Director of Public Health Dr.
Senthil Kumar.
“As the first step to identify the reasons behind the surge, we have identified two to three areas that see a surge and contribute to the increase in cases.
They are mainly suburban areas such as tendrils and the army, which has many industrial movements and people,” he said.
Preficials acknowledged that the Brief nail could be a natural development for two weeks after most of the locking was lifted.
“Because it has been around two weeks since the industry opened with full strength, we thought the surge could be a normal progress of two weeks after increasing the movement of people,” the official said.
The Ministry of Health has scheduled meetings with collectors on Friday.
Send reports on increased cases and discuss methods applied to control the surge.
“This is not the third wave, but we don’t ignore it.
It’s just a temporary surge and we have spread the staff to places and will come with a strategy to control it,” another official said.
The day saw 198 people run out, leaving active cases at 1.905.
That day also saw three deaths because of the virus, took the victim to 2,172.
The total number of people discharged rose to 2,24,797.
With the total number of cases increased to 2,28,874, the recovery rate reached 98.2%.
