Gurugram: Busy Police Barikade Remove, the shop owner gets ready to reopen their outlets to be closed for more than a year, and the owner of a patient gas station waiting for footsteps to increase.
This is a scene played on Saturday morning in Shahjahanpur on the border Haryana-Rajasthan which has been an agitation site to protest farmers since December last year.
Then at night, the whole Delhi-Jaipur highway near the Haryana-Rajasthan border thrown open to the public.
Last year, on December 13, dozens of farmers from neighboring countries Haryana and Rajasthan blocked Jaipur-Delhi traffic track from a high-speed corridor near Shahjahanpur Alwar Regency.
Some efforts were made to empty the site, but the tenacious protesters had stood on their land.
The farmers have begun to leave the agitation site since the end of Friday night.
With Saturday morning, the site was gone.
The remnants of the tent, food package, posters of Bhagat Singh lie without supervision, and a farmer offer an old farewell word for people from the Sikh community offered by Langar on the site marking the end of the protest and resuming the movement of normal traffic and business activities on the road toll.
“I will reopen with food on Sunday.
Today, I cleaned my place and prepared everything.
My shop was closed by the police during the Covid Kuncian and when I reopened, it must be closed because all of these stretches were captured by farmers, “said Ashok Kumar, the owner of the local Dhaba.
While villagers and locals have promised support for the cause of farmers, they remember the commuter of misery they have to brace.
Commuter, too, took a sigh of relief because they were forced to wrestle with jam-long congestion every day and a long detour.
“There are congestion all day and in the days there are several hours of jam.
At times, we were transferred to the village road, but with the widely constrained width of them stretching, the village would complain about congestion and chaos there, “said a traffic police station placed in place.
