Nagpur: Jayant, 16, a hearing and blind boy, can only hug his father when they sobbing to hold each other at the home of children in Patankar Chowk, where they returned again after a two-year gap.
Even though the family hasn’t filed a complaint, it looks for it.
Uttar Pradesh (UP) -Based the family got his son back after a two-year gap because of the proactive role of the Indian Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI) Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) Manager and a supervisor of the children returned home.
Jayanth, aka Shivam Chauhan, was saved by the train police in August 2019 from the Nagpur train station.
Thinking that Chatanan Hearing and Blindness cannot communicate through sign language, because he never went to special schools to learn it.
The boy was protected at a government house, where the authorities tried to communicate with him through different means and through experts, but nothing worked.
Because he could not reveal his name, the boy was taken back as ‘Jayant’.
Then learned that Jayant had decreased on the sixth day after his birth, which was likely to leave him with disabilities for the rest of life.
The Jayant repatriation process met with the main barrier due to a pandemic.
The home shelter authority has made several attempts before that, but nothing worked.
Inspector Vinod DaBerao said his last effort to ensure the identity and address of the boy’s house through Aadhaar verification.
“We originally contacted a local Aadhaar center but could not find detail.
Finally, we approached the captain of Anil Marathe from asking Uidai to help set the boy’s identity,” he said.
Former Serviceman Marathe, who has been a month ago helped a boy reunited with his family after more than a decade through Aadhaar verification, said he was confirmed from the Bengaluru Uidai office that the Aadhaar Jayant card was made somewhere, but had to take permission from the region Office for further processing.
“We have official correspondence with the Regional Office of the Uidai in Mumbai from where the password to open aadhaar cards was sent to us,” said Marathe, added that the Aadhaar Bocah card was made in 2016.
Marathe said the aadhaar card was revealed by Jayant’s real name was Shivam Chauhan And he came from Iyauri Bazaar, within the limits of the Sonikpur police station above.
Daberao said the Sonoccur police were told about Jayant and asked to help contact his family.
“His father came to Nagpur on August 2 and took the boy all day the next day,” he added.
