New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday targets BJP during the increase in cases of dengue fever in Delhi, accusing that city companies do not take precautions on time.
Holding citizen bodies ruled by BJP responsible for waves in cases, AAP MLA Atishi claims that precautions such as fogging taking and door to the door for the breeding of mosquitoes in stagnant water did not begin before.
Hitting back to Atishi, Delhi BJP reached out the allegations as “embarrassing” and clarified that the three city companies carried out a conscious campaign, do fogging and try to curb the deployment of the house with ordinary checks.
The National Capital has witnessed a surge in cases of dengue fever in the last two weeks and the first death was reported on Monday.
According to civilian reports on transmitted diseases through vectors released on Monday, one death because of dengue fever and a total of 723 dengue cases have been recorded this season until October 16, which is the highest number of cases since 2018 for duration.
“The MCD which is ruled by BJP has not even taken one step in time to prevent dengue in Delhi ….
You will not find one person whose house workers MCD has visited to check the breeding of mosquitoes this season.
At this time, very little fogging occurred in All Delhi, “or accused.
He claimed that while the city corporation did not have a “adequate” fogging machine, anti-fever drugs for fogging had also not been purchased “even this month”.
“The BJP MCD is playing with Delhies’ life.
BJP leaders have placed a budget dealing with dengue-malaria in their own bags instead of spending on machines and medicines,” he thought.
Reacting to the allegations of AAP leaders, Delhi spokesman BJP Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that no one was “more embarrassing” than MLA Aishi’s statement that the city company did nothing to examine the spread of Denghi and Malaria in Delhi.
“MCD runs a consciousness campaign, doing fogging and checking the dengue-malaria deployment by checking the house regularly, especially the cooler through DB workers while the Minister of Chief Justice Atishi Arvind Kejriwal wasted Crores Rupee on a hoarding campaign,” he said in a statement.
Kapoor asked Atishi to ask Delhi’s minister to stop wasting money to advertise and help city companies financially to further control the dengue-malaria spread.
