New Delhi: The Delhi government will celebrate Master’s Day on Sunday as ‘Abhar Dijau’ and the 122 teacher Award who issued their duty diligently during the Covid pandemic, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said on Saturday.
In addition, the new ‘DOE’ (Directorate of Education) award will be given to two teachers – Raj Kumar and Suman Arora.
Also, two special awards will be given to Bharti Kalra and Rani Bhardwaj which during pandemics provide tablet devices to students and support them in various ways so that they can continue their studies, representatives of CM.
He said that of the 1,108 applications received for the Delhi government teacher award, 122 was completed by the panel.
Sisodia, who also held an educational portfolio, said that the previous number of awards 103 and this year had increased.
The feasibility criteria have relaxed to bring guest teachers and private tutors considered for the award.
Norm 15 years of teaching experience to consider for awards relaxed up to three years, he added.
The recipient will be presented with an award at the ceremony on Master’s Day on Sunday.
