Panaji: The failure of the Congress to fill the void in the opposition has pushed the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) to project himself as an alternative against BJP in Goa, said Goa’s advanced party on Wednesday.
GFP President Vijai Sardesai said that AAP, who is not a relevant power in Goa, tries to get traction using promises of free electricity.
Sardesai also said that he had not heard from the leadership of the Congress on his offer for the pre-poll alliance.
“There is a very clear effort to make the opposition from an irrelevant party and this is the failure of Congress to pass the central narrative,” Sardesai said.
“AAP challenges the government and congress overseeing as if it is time to pass.” Fatorda MLA said that the power supply was not a major problem for the country because residents were worried about coal transportation.
“In Goa, electricity is not a problem, coal is the problem.
Why don’t they say no to coal? What’s the point of debate?” Sardesai said.
When asked about alliance talks with Congress, Sardesai said that the style of the congress function was slow.
“Congress has not responded to us about alliances.
Congress is an old party and their tendency is a long time to complete their process.
They need to focus on Goa.
There is no point in waking up after they lose Goa,” Sardesai said.
Sardesai also crashed into BJP for setbacks in a mining case, describing it as the second time the Supreme Court has slapped the state government.
