NEW DELHI: AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta on Tuesday reported that Haryana and Delhi police detained him and AAP employees when they moved to protest the inhuman evacuation of the inhabitants of Khorigaon village at Faridabad.
The Haryana government has arranged evacuation of the 50 years of village, home to more than 1 lakh bad, without supplying any rehab alternative or monetary aid, the AAP chief stated.
Gupta directed several party employees to oppose the elimination of their villagers, mainly by Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, on Tuesday morning.
Gupta’s continued efforts to reach from the central authorities along with the Haryana government to safeguard these villages proved useless.
He had declared his demonstration plans ahead of time.
“Once I contacted the village at the early hours, Haryana police arrested me .
To begin with they took me into a local Sarai Khawaja police channel, and after that for five hours, then they drove me into their van.
Haryana Police ACP along with Delhi Police ACP have been current.
They took me into the BPTP police channel followed from the police station at business 37 Faridabad.
Following that, they requested me to submit an application for bond or they threatened to detain me.
I told the authorities that I won’t make an application for any sort of bond but take the arrest.
Additionally, I made it quite obvious they’ve arrested me and they’ve attempted to suppress my best to protest,” Gupta explained in a media conference later in the afternoon.
Gupta slammed BJP-led Haryana authorities for detention.
