Noida: AAM AADMI Party (AAP) will oppose selection in all 403 assembly seats Uttar Pradesh during future polls and will not enter the alliance with any clothing, said the leader of the Sanjay Singh Party on Wednesday.
His clarification came at a press conference in Noida amid speculation that AAP could bind with regional parties to face the Bharatiya Party Janata in power (BJP) in the state.
“We have explained that AAP will fight in all 403 assembly seats above and not the form of alliances with other parties,” Singh, Unit Uttar Pradesh AAP, told reporters, when he was flanked by senior parties and Deputy Chairperson of Minister Delhi Manish Sisodia.
Holding interaction with reporters on the sidelines of ‘Tiranga Sankalp Yatra’ AAP in Noida on Wednesday, Singh also slammed the Yogi Aditityath government for allegedly trying to prevent such a campaign from other parties.
“The FIRS has been registered against AAP workers during Yatra Yatra before in Agra.
Today is also a party worker sent notice and asked to join Yatra,” Alleged Rajya Sabha MP.
When it was told that the Gautam Buddh Nagar police had requested restrictions on public meetings under the CRPC 144 section, Singh shot back, said if the rules were only applied to the events of the opposition political party.
He said besides Yatra, the next scheduled in Ayodhya on September 14, AAP will hold several other programs in Uttar Pradesh to commemorate the 75th year of state independence.
