Dibrugarh: Assam Student Union (AASU) on Monday burned the State Minister of Agriculture Minister and Guardian Minister Dibrugarh District, Atul Bora, and SP Shwetank Mishra in protest against the arrest of five members after the selection of universities.
The student’s body also accused the police forcibly entered the Aasu office in Dibrugarh.
Aasu members burned efigsions at Chowkidinghee near their office.
“On Saturday, Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra sent the police to the Dibrugarh Office of Aasu and forcibly picked up our members without reason.
After that, the police behaved with them at the police station,” Aboni Gogoi, Secretary General, the Unit of Dibrugarh District Aasu.
