Kolkata: Trinamool Congress National Secretary General Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujo Moving the Delhi High Court on Friday trying to cancel the call of Ed who just asked him to appear in the Khan Market (Ed) of the Khan Market (Shark) on September 21.
The couple has also searched for Delhi HC’s intervention to stop from issuing a summons asking them to appear in Delhi for the nesting case in Bengal where Ed already has an zon office.
Abhishek and Rujira told the court that they had been asked to submit broad documents covering the last 10 years relating to them, family, finance, assets, foreign visits in connection with pine submitted in November 2020.
Abhishek and Rujira have also notified Delhi HC that when they had been repeatedly called, they had not provided details about complaints against them or whether they were asked to appear as witnesses or defendants.
They accused Ed into a government agency under the Ministry of Finance Union “cannot be permitted to operate in confidentiality or in an arbitrary and affected ways”.
In the petition, Abhishek accused him that he had appeared for a long nine-hour question by ED in New Delhi and “questioned long and submitted various intrusion and personal questions”.
He accused that the question asked “has nothing to do with the investigation”.
Dubbing questions as “mobile investigations and not fulfilled” became their personal and “political affairs”, he accused this questioning “legitimacy of processes and justice investigations carried out”.
Abhishek Said CBI filed FIR in the fraud of illegal coal mining on November 28, 2020.
Ed submitted the case the next day.
But the agency, which has issued several calls, has not distributed the details of the case with him or his wife.
He also alleged that based on a statement that appeared in the legal documents given to the court by the ED report and in the media associated with ED officers, it seems they have decided that he is “one of the beneficiaries” and “try to thwart the probe”.
Abhishek said his name was not looking in the FIR submitted by the CBI.
He said given background, he wasn’t even aware if the question would be used to fight it.
Abhishek argued that he could not be asked to be a witness to himself and violated his fundamental rights based on article 20 (3) constitution.
Previously, Ed had also moved Delhi HC who tried to call the officials who were asked to be questioned by the Kaliganat police in FIR submitted by Abhishek in April.
