New Delhi: Nearly 5,500 Fresh Covid-19 Cases have been reported in Delhi on Tuesday with a lifespan of around 8.5 percent, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said while confirming that weekend meals imposed in the city should not be treated as locking.
Interacting with reporters, he said experts said that the surge in Covid cases in Delhi must be considered largely due to omicron variants.
On Monday, Delhi reported 4,099 cases with a level of prisoners of 6.46 percent, and one death was recorded because Covid, said Jain.
Cases have increased, and nearly 5,500 new cases with 8.5 percent participant have been reported, which will reflect the current bulletin, he told reporters.
Asked about new restrictions, Jain said the weekend curfew was being worn considering the increasing case of Covid-19, and it should not be considered as locking.
Weekend curfew was imposed because not much activity occurred in the two-day period, and did not need to panic, said the minister.
Also, covid-induced limitations are imposed with sensitivity because of the workers’ situation, Jain said in response to the question.
