Rajkot: Chairman of the Minister of Bhupendra Patel on Saturday called for people to absorb the principles of non-violence and hygiene of Mahatma Gandhi when he paid various tribes to the 152-birth annual father.
Speaking on the All-Faith prayer met at Kirti Mandir at Bapu’s birthplace, Porbandar, Patel said that assimilating his ideals would be a true respect for Gandhiji.
Patel called people to make the cleanliness of the instinct and keep the country at the forefront in the second phase of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a clean Indian movement and atal mission for rejuvenation and urban transformation (emphat) by realizing the cleanliness mantra of Gandhiji.
“Gujarat has been at the forefront of sanitation and water supply works through sustainable development,” he said, and emitted confidence that Gujarat from Mahatma Gandhi would reach new heights.
Patel inaugurated several projects in Porbandar.
This includes children’s homes for boys built at the cost of Rs Four Crore by the Social Security Department and a new building Porbandar-Chaya Joint Municipality built at the cost of Six Crore Hospital.
Patel also visits Sandipani Ashram from Rameshbhai Oza Spiritual Profites.
In the first phase of the Amrut mission, Gujarat was placed in third place in this country, after completing 305 important works at a cost of Rs 2,800 Crores, said Patel.
“A total of 95 projects related to safe drinking water supplies have been completed in 31 cities.
As a result, the connection has been given to the house of 1.70 lakh,” he said.
Given the idea of Gandhiji about Surajya, Patel said “Gandhiji’s cleanliness spell was taken by PM as a social campaign that had become a massive public campaign.
If Gandhiji gave us Swarajya, which paved the way for the increase in poor villages, PM had started the Journey of Surajya (Tata Good government).
